Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
FASD is an umbrella term describing the range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy. These effects may include physical, mental, behavioural and learning disabilities with lifelong implications.

"The mission of the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Coalition of Ottawa is to support prevention strategies and promote awareness of FASD and available resources. Initiatives of the Coalition will demonstrate sensitivity to and an understanding of FASD, utilize partnerships and build on existing community resources."
